19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been won on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev won his initial championship for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult season, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in particular - led to him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-time trainer Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks his initial championship following the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt from that period of that year.
Victory also means Medvedev has secured 21 victories at 21 various events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a title is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I won when my child her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six title deciders, comprising in Halle previously this season.
His counter-punching strategy and frequent outbursts on the playing surface had caused observers to wonder if his skill to perform at the highest level was over.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, striving to approach the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an improved serve.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his initial tour title, took control to push for a decider.
He saved 4 early chances in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched victory with a rally at the net area, with Moutet incapable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
